Privacy Policy

We have created this statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. We do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you voluntarily choose to provide such information to us.

The following statements apply to all content hosted on alumni2.marywood.edu as well as all electronic communication from the Marywood Office of University Advancement and Office of Alumni Engagement. The privacy policy for the main Marywood University (marywood.edu) site can be found here.

  1. Visiting pages and "Cookies"

    We want to be very clear: We will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit any page on the alumni2.marywood.edu domain unless you choose to explicitly provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Except as might be required by law, we do not share any information we receive with any outside parties.

    You may encounter pages on the alumni2.marywood.edu domain that contain "cookies." A cookie is a small data file that a Web site transfers to your computer's hard disk that allows a server to recall information about your session while you're connected. Cookies from alumni2.marywood.edu Web pages are not designed to collect personal information about you, only about your browser session.

  2. Contact Information Updates, Donations, and other communications to us

    If you update your contact information and/or otherwise share your personally identifying information, we may use your contact information to contact you when necessary or to send you further information about Marywood (ex. event invites, alumni updates, news, etc.). You may always opt-out of receiving future communications; see the "Opt Out" section below.

    You may also choose to send us personally identifying information - for example, in an email to us containing a question or comment, by registering for an event, making a donation, and/or by filling out a Web form which asks for this information. We may use personally identifying information from these sources to respond to your requests. We may also forward communications you send to us to other employees who are better able to answer you questions as well as use your information to contact you in the future about our programs that may be of interest.

  3. Opt out of Emails/Update Contact Information

    You may update your communication preferences and contact information on file at any time via the following form. This will let you choose what type(s) of communication, if any, you wish to receive from us. You may update your communication preferences and information at any time. You cannot remove yourself from our database, but you can prevent unwanted communication.

  4. Use of Data

    We do not share your information with any non-affiliated companies.

    Any information you choose to share with us will primarily be used to help us contact you and provide you the type(s) of content you opted into receiving (such as information on upcoming events, updates on Marywood, alumni benefits and offers, and other relevant content).

    We also have partnerships with the following third-party companies to provide alumni with special benefits, which may send emails regarding special alumni offers for these benefits:

    You are free to opt out of communications from these third parties from our contact information update online form.

  5. data Security

    We have implemented reasonable procedures to safeguard and secure information collected online against unauthorized disclosure, loss, or misuse. All data is stored on a secure cloud-based platform. Only authenticated users with specific permissions may access the data using a virtual private network. There is no absolute guarantee as to the security of any information transmitted through the Web site or digital properties.

  6. Use of Links to Third-Party Web sites

    Pages on alumni2.marywood.edu may contain links to Web sites operated by third parties. We take no responsibility for, and exercise no control over, the organizations, views, or accuracy of the information contained on other servers. We have no control over the policies on any third-party Web site. Please review the terms of those sites for information on their practices.
